The issue started out intermittently where it would fire when turned over and the shutdown immediately. Eventually after a couple of tries or after starting it with the throttle raised it would continue to run and act normal. Here we will elaborate on John Deere 955’s problems further, explaining the signs and possible reasons behind the issues. They are about $75 new, depending upon which coil you need. You do need to know the specific engine model number you have, which should be on the tag on the engine.
